Biden Claims Far-Left Campus Protestors Will Have No Impact on His Israel Policy

President Joe Biden informed reporters on Thursday that the anti-Israel demonstrations raging across college campuses would not affect the Israel policy of his administration, following his eventual delivery of brief remarks regarding the situation.

Although Biden refrained from explicitly inviting a question-and-answer segment subsequent to his remarks, he did respond to two bellowed inquiries as he made preparations to vacate the room.

“Mr. President, have the protests forced you to reconsider any of the policies with regard to the region?” a reporter asked.

Without turning to face the assembled press, Biden merely reiterated, “No,” and continued walking.

As the 2024 presidential campaign approaches and the Democratic Party remains divided on support for Israel, Biden’s administration has had to navigate a delicate line.

Vice President Biden has consistently urged the Israeli government to exercise greater restraint in the ongoing conflict against Hamas in Gaza, while simultaneously assuring Israel that U.S. support “will not waver” in the aftermath of the October 7 terror attacks, which were heinous and unprovoked.
