Next Far-Left Mayor of Chicago Demands Citizens Not ‘Demonize’ Teen Criminals After Massive Rampage

Brandon Johnson, the socialist candidate for mayor of Chicago, reportedly stated on Sunday that people shouldn’t “demonize” the offenders after a group of youths carried out a violent rampage in the downtown area of the city on Saturday night, during which two people were shot.

More than one hundred young people took part in the aggressive action, which included setting fire to automobiles, getting into a huge brawl, and attempting to break through police barricades.

Two adolescent teens, ages 16 and 17, were shot, and fifteen persons were detained in connection with the incident.

The individual who will become the next mayor of the city, Johnson, gave a speech to opponents of the youngsters and then issued a statement in which he claimed he hinted that the teenagers’ actions was not entirely their responsibility.

There were a total of 15 arrests made, with nine adults and six children among those detained.

The comment that Johnson made drew criticism from commentators across the web.

Johnson was supported by the Chicago Teachers Union, which prompted criticism in the wake of recent government lockdowns for opposing the rollback of virtual instruction.

Johnson’s opponent in the race for mayor, Vallas, was endorsed by the Chicago Police Union.

Johnson, on the other hand, was supported by the Chicago Teachers Union and was an outspoken advocate of ‘defund the police’ rhetoric.
