Texas Unveils New Program to Hunt Down Migrants Accused of Violent Crimes

This week, Governor Greg Abbott unveiled a new initiative aimed at the arrest of illegal immigrants in Texas who have been charged with violent crimes and sex offenses.

Abbott and the Texas Department of Public Safety jointly released the “10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants” list on Wednesday.

The initiative will provide financial rewards to individuals who provide law enforcement with information that results in the arrest of the illegal immigrants on the list.

“Texas is a law-and-order state, and with the help of our fellow Texans, we will ensure that the illegal immigrants on this list are taken off our streets and put behind bars to keep our communities safe. Texas will continue to take unprecedented action to protect Texans and our state from President Biden’s border crisis.” Abbott remarked.

Omar David Zavala, who is wanted for sexual assault and making a terroristic threat, and Victor Hugo Chox Gonzalez, who is wanted for aggravated sexual assault of a minor, are among the illegal immigrants on the list.

Smuggling offense and sex abuse of a minor are additional charges that individuals on the list have been charged with.

Tipsters are advised to contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).

Crimes committed by illegal immigrants have garnered national attention as illegal immigration has reached record levels under Biden.

A 22-year-old nursing student in Georgia, Laken Riley, was murdered by an illegal immigrant earlier this year.

José Antonio Ibarra, the suspect, had been apprehended and released after unlawfully entering the United States.
