Conservative firebrand Laura Loomer, a vocal ally of President Donald J. Trump, has reportedly called for the resignation of Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, accusing her of misleading the public over the nature of government-held evidence in the case of Jeffrey Epstein.
The controversy erupted after the Department of Justice recently concluded there was no existing “client list” of individuals involved with Epstein’s alleged criminal activities, despite months of anticipation fueled by Bondi and others.
Loomer accused Bondi of deceiving the MAGA base, suggesting the DOJ’s holiday-weekend release of its findings was a deliberate attempt to bury the story.
“She’s always lying,” Loomer wrote on social media. “She misled people and should resign in disgrace.”
Bondi, a former Florida attorney general and Trump impeachment defense attorney, had previously claimed that her office had access to a significant trove of sealed Epstein evidence, including potentially damaging material implicating high-profile individuals.
Earlier this year, she appeared on Fox News and suggested she was in possession of damning documents, adding to speculation and fueling expectations among Trump’s base.
Instead, the DOJ provided materials that largely consisted of already public court filings and transcripts.
Loomer, along with other conservative influencers, has since accused Bondi of manufacturing expectations and undermining public trust.
In her posts, Loomer mocked Bondi’s media appearances and demanded that Trump remove her from any advisory role.
Bondi has so far defended her handling of the matter, arguing that her comments referred to a broader review process and not to a specific list of names. She maintains that she relayed only what she had been told by federal officials.
Still, her credibility within the Trump-aligned grassroots appears to have taken a hit.
The backlash has drawn support from prominent MAGA-aligned commentators and influencers, many of whom had previously championed Bondi as a staunch ally of the president.
The rift highlights growing frustration among some factions of the conservative movement over what they view as unfulfilled promises of accountability tied to the Epstein case.
The dispute also reflects a broader divide within pro-Trump circles—between those demanding total transparency and immediate revelations, and others urging caution amid the slow churn of legal proceedings.
As demands for resignations intensify, Bondi now finds herself at the center of an intra-party reckoning.
