Head of Biden DHS Demands Border Agents Begin Using Preferred Pronouns

Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agents are now being instructed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) of the Biden administration to inquire about the “preferred pronouns” of any immigrants they encounter and to employ gender-neutral language in the course of their duties.

Additionally, CBP agents are instructed not to use particular terms in the “Guide to Facilitating Effective Communication with Individuals who Identify as LGBTQI+,” which was obtained by the Oversight Project of the Heritage Foundation.

The insistence of the Department of Homeland Security regarding the adoption of new terminology coincides with an unprecedented crisis along the southern border.

“This job aid provides guidance to all CBP employees who interact with the public … including individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming. This guidance should be used by all CBP employees who encounter members of the public.” the document states.

There have been an approximate of 1.7 million unauthorized immigrant escapes into the United States since the inauguration of President Joe Biden.

The guidance is issued mere days after it was reported that the Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties of the Department of Homeland Security commissioned a report from the RAND Corporation urging the DHS to eliminate objectionable language.

Green proposed that Congress could exert pressure on the agency to prioritize actual border enforcement by utilizing its authority over funding.
