Jim Jordan, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and a Republican from Ohio, declared this week that he would oppose providing Ukraine any additional aid if he were to take over as Speaker of the House.
Jordan’s comments follow the historic vote on Tuesday that saw Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) removed from his position as Speaker under the leadership of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), a number of other Republicans, and the entire House Democrat Caucus.
"I'm against that," Jim Jordan, a candidate for speaker, says of an aid package for Ukraine, going further than McCarthy. "The most pressing issue on Americans' mind is not Ukraine — it is the border situation, it's crime on streets." Said he would see what Senate sends to House pic.twitter.com/qpOrNZoyIc
