GOP Senators Join Democrats to Push Gun Bill Past Filibuster Hurdle

Republican Senators have given Democrats a big win in the Senate The Wall Street Journal Reports.

The legislation passed the procedural hurdle 65-34 and will now only need to pass by a simple majority 51-49 to advance out of the chamber.

Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) 

Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) 

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) 

Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) 

Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) 

Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) 

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) 

Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) 

Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.)  

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) 

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) 

Rep. Todd Young (R-Ind.) 

Republican Senator Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania was absent for the procedural vote, but endorsed the legislation in the original group of 10 Republican Senators.
