Republican Party Gaining Popularity, Democrats Losing Ground

The Republican party is seeing a shift its way among the American electorate.

In 2021 the average saw 43% of adults identify as or lean Republican. and 46% identify as or lean Democrat.

A new Gallup poll indicates that the full-year average saw a 9-point Democrat advantage in the first quarter end with a 5 point advantage for Republicans in the fourth quarter.

This is a wild shift and follows plummeting Biden approval polls and is only the fourth quarter that Republicans have held this large of an advantage since 1991.

The shifting preference is indicative of the troubles Biden is having in office and could spell bad news for Democrats as the 2022 midterms approach.
