Trump Demands FBI’s DEI Records be Retained as Evidence

According to new statements made by President-elect Trump, the president elect is interested in preserving records from the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) branch of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which was shut down in December.

“We demand that the FBI preserve and retain all records, documents, and information on the now closing DEI Office—Never should have been opened and, if it was, should have closed long ago. Why is it that they’re closing one day before the Inauguration of a new Administration? The reason is, CORRUPTION!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

In a letter that she delivered to Christopher Wray, the departing director of the FBI, Senator Marsha Blackburn, a Republican from Tennessee, accused the agency of placing a higher priority on diversity than on safety.

Trump’s Cabinet nominees have sharply condemned diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, which they refer to as “wokeness.” Blackburn’s statements reflect the beliefs of his Cabinet picks.

If he were to be confirmed by the Senate to manage the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, who is running for the position of Secretary of Defense, stated that he would eliminate such programs from the armed services.

In recent months, a number of corporations, including Meta, Walmart, McDonald’s, and Lowe’s, have reversed their efforts to promote diversity.

These businesses have followed closely behind Meta. The firms have been pushed to alter their position by both Democratic lawmakers and local governments and politicians.
