Hunter Biden’s sentencing on gun charges has now been scheduled by a federal judge for November 13, which is just one week after after the U.S. presidential election.
Hunter Biden was convicted in June of fabricating information regarding his usage of illegal drugs when he applied to buy a gun six years prior and then unlawfully possessing it after that.
It was the first time a child of a serving president has been found guilty of a major crime.
According to U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika, sentencing memos requesting a deviation from federal sentencing guidelines must be filed by either side by October 30. If no party demands a variance, the memos must be filed by November 6.
The United States Sentencing Commission, which establishes suggested sentencing guidelines, states that a defendant such as Hunter Biden would normally be sentenced to 15 to 21 months in prison.
A maximum of 25 years in prison and $750,000 in fines are in store for him. Rarely are first-time offenders given the worst punishment possible.
But Noreika has complete discretion over that decision. Before Hunter Biden is sentenced, a federal probation officer will probably visit with him, question him, and write a report with recommendations.
A jury comprising twelve Delaware residents found three people guilty of felonies earlier this year in connection with Hunter Biden’s 2018 purchase of a Colt Cobra 38SPL revolver.
He answered “no” when asked if he used or was addicted to illegal narcotics on a federal gun purchase form, and he went on to possess the weapon illegally for 11 days.

Hunter should get the maximum sentence! It shouldn’t matter that he is the president’s son, he broke the law, lied on a federal form, and he is NOT above the law! And Biden should NOT be allowed to pardon him. Let him face the music, show him that just because he is the president’s son, he gets NO special treatment!
