Nikki Haley, the Republican presidential candidate, expressed confidence in a group of New Hampshire electors on Wednesday that they will “correct” the Iowa caucus results later this month.
“We have an opportunity to get this right. And I know we’ll get it right, and I trust you. I trust every single one of you. You know how to do this. You know Iowa starts it. You know that you correct it,” Haley said during a recent campaign stop.
Haley delivered her remarks, which were well received by the audience, just days before her January 10 debate in Iowa with fellow Republican candidate Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and less than two weeks before the January 15 Iowa caucuses.
According to an average polling average from The Hill/Decision Desk HQ, DeSantis and Haley are presently tied in the state with 18 percent and 17.1 percent support net, respectively.
On Thursday, DeSantis and Haley are both slated to participate in distinct CNN town halls in Des Moines, Iowa, which will be broadcast consecutively.
Each of them qualified for the CNN debate five days prior to the caucuses; Trump, who has also qualified but has yet to participate in the primary debates, has yet to do so.
