Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a Democratic contender for president in 2024, was reportedly incorrectly presented by CNN on Thursday using a chyron.
The error was shown for about five seconds before it was removed, but not before Kennedy’s detractors on Twitter saw CNN’s error.
Kennedy, who has tried to win over supporters from both sides of the political divide by appearing on Fox News and Newsmax, has gained support from both Democrats and Republicans despite his contentious views on vaccinations.
Kennedy was ranked second in the Democratic primary, just behind President Joe Biden, according to a CNN survey conducted last month.
According to the poll, 20% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning voters preferred Kennedy as the Democratic nominee for president in 2024, below Biden by 60% but ahead of the other contenders.
