After CNN’s presidential debate, Chris Cuomo of NewsNation told Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that he may be a good choice to succeed President Joe Biden.
Cuomo floated the idea of replacing Biden with Kennedy, who is mounting an independent presidential campaign, shortly after calling Biden and Donald Trump embarrassments to the nation after their debate performance on Thursday night.
āIām just throwing it out there because it would really save ā it would really solve their problem and yours at the same time,ā Cuomo said to Kennedy.
Kennedy claimed he is the “only Democrat” who has the ability to beat Donald Trump, despite not meeting the standards for the debate.
āThe Democrats are looking for somebody. I donāt know why it wouldnāt be worth the energy for you to make yourself an option?ā Cuomo told Kennedy.
Kennedy Jr. stated that if the unlikely scenario came to pass, he would be willing to take Biden’s place.
āOf course, I would talk to them. It would put me on the ballot with nobody trying to get me off.ā Kennedy said.
