Laura Ingraham, presenter of Fox News, has filed a lawsuit against Quake Media, whom she claims owes her nearly $1 million.
In a new lawsuit, Fox News star Laura Ingraham alleges that Quake Media has defrauded her of nearly a million dollars.
The lawsuit suggests that the subscription-based podcasting platform, which features a cadre of renowned political commentators, has gone bankrupt.
According to a petition lodged in the New York Supreme Court last week, the organization is allegedly indebted to Ingraham for nearly the entire $800,000 contract she entered into with Quake in 2022, which is close to seven figures.
As per the lawsuit, the right-leaning television and radio anchor initially contracted with Quake Media in late 2019 for a biweekly podcast with a duration of 60-90 minutes each.
The Laura Ingraham Show, which had ceased broadcasting in October 2019 despite continuing to charge for subscriptions, was essentially the same PodcastOne program produced by her own company, Radio Ingraham LLC (Ingraham had transitioned from nationally syndicated radio to podcasting the previous year).
Between 2001 and 2018, Ingraham presided over the radio program The Laura Ingraham Show before making the transition to PodcastOne.
Ingraham asserts that her initial contract with Quake Media called for a payment of $550,000 over the course of one year, payable in monthly installments of $33,333, with an initial payment of $150,000 due in advance.
Despite this, she signed an extension under the same conditions in the autumn of 2021.
However, according to Ingraham, Quake Media neglected to make the last four monthly payments for her second contract, resulting in a deficit of $133,336.
