Government Flags Over 75,000 Different Migrants As Potential Threats to National Security

According to a new report, from October 2022 and August, 74,904 illegal immigrants were marked countrywide as possibly posing concerns to national security.

Some unauthorized immigrants are labeled “special interest aliens” because they may travel in ways that “possibly have a nexus to terrorism” or because they may originate from nations that do.

According to internal agency statistics previously obtained by the DCNF, Border Patrol agents encountered 25,627 “special interest” illegal migrants in fiscal year 2022 as opposed to 3,675 encounters in fiscal year 2021; however, this data does not account for all CBP interactions of special interest aliens.

Just looking at their country of origin alone, illegal immigrants can be classified as special interest aliens.

The FBI is presently looking for a group of more than a dozen Uzbek migrants who were released into the country by federal officials after using an ISIS-affiliated smuggler to enter the country through the southern border.

The number of people on the terror watchlist making entry attempts into the United States has increased recently, according to CBP. 149 people have been caught by Border Patrol trying to enter the nation illegally so far in fiscal year 2023, up from 16 in fiscal year 2021 and 98 for the entire fiscal year 2022.
