One week after he delivered unclear messaging over the tactic, the former president Trump reportedly taped a video that was published on Wednesday pushing Republicans to vote early.
In an effort to get Republicans to vote early, the Republican National Committee (RNC) launched the “Bank Your Vote” campaign last month.
The program intends to inform GOP voters about early voting in person, absentee voting, and ballot collecting.
In an approximately 40-second video posted by the RNC, Trump expressed his strongest support to date for early voting.
“The RNC is leading the fight to help secure your vote in 2024 as well. They’re fighting bad Democrat laws, putting folks on the ground to serve as poll workers and poll watchers and engaging attorneys to monitor every step of the voting process,” Trump said in the video.
“We must defeat the far left at their own game, or our country will never recover from this disastrous crooked Biden administration. Sign up at bankyourvote.com now and join the Republican effort to win big in 2024. We’re going to win, and we’re going to make America great again,” he continued.
During a town hall discussion with Fox News anchor Sean Hannity last week, Trump provided conflicting messages regarding early voting.
Trump’s persistent and false allegations that the 2020 election was rigged center on allegations of fraud in early and absentee voting.
