On July 4, Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) reportedly received criticism for calling on the United States to make reparations to black people.
Bush, a member of the “Squad,” expressed her unvarnished view of the Founders in a tweet on Tuesday.
She demanded racial reparations to make up for “all of the harm” she said the government had done to Black Americans since the country’s establishment on the occasion of the patriotic holiday.
The Declaration of Independence was written by enslavers and didn’t recognize Black people as human.

Her tweet received a lot of critical on social media, most of which was highly critical.
Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene wasted no time in immediately roasting Bush for her extreme remarks:
Bush and Greene have a history of in-public disputes, which included a Twitter argument about racism on July 4th, 2022.
This year, her colleague on the other side of the aisle was irritated by
Bush’s request that they back her reparations proposal.
