CNN to Reportedly Host New Townhall Event With Mike Pence

Three days after conducting a town hall with 2024 presidential prospect and former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley on June 4, CNN is now reportedly scheduled to broadcast a town hall with 2024 Republican hopeful and former Vice President Mike Pence on June 7.

The important first-in-the-nation GOP caucuses will be held in Des Moines, Iowa, at Grand View University on June 7 at 9 p.m. EDT.

CNN personality Dana Bash will reportedly moderate the town hall.

The occasion occurs as Pence mulls running against his former employer, former President Donald Trump, for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024.

He had declared that he will decide whether to run by the end of June.

Additionally, it follows Trump’s participation in a contentious town hall with CNN earlier this month.

This is the third Republican presidential town hall on the network for 2024.

In front of a live audience of Iowa Republican voters who are expected to cast ballots during the caucuses, Bash will challenge Pence on a wide range of topics.

Any credible Trump opponent needs to win handily in Iowa in order to break Trump’s hold on GOP primary supporters.

The announcement of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL)’s long-awaited presidential candidacy on Wednesday night during a Twitter Spaces event with Twitter’s Elon Musk and moderator David Sacks also precedes the news of the CNN town hall with Pence.
