During a Fox News town hall event Thursday night, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis slammed the Biden administration and the Democratic Party, and predicted a huge upset in next month’s midterm elections.
Sean Hannity moderated the town hall, which also featured DeSantis’ wife, Casey DeSantis, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), and Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) (R-FL).
DeSantis believes the Republican Party will win multiple hotly contested contests for governorships and U.S. Senate seats around the country in the next few weeks. According to DeSantis, the red tsunami is so strong that Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) would win the governor election in deep-blue New York.
āWe have a situation where voters are responding to a failed administration. Thereās just no way to sugarcoat it. Things have gotten worse since Joe Biden was president, the inflationās at a 40-year high, heās waged war on American energy, heās bungled the southern border like weāve never seen before.ā DeSantis claimed.
āWe need to work hard over these next less than two weeks. Everybody needs to be going out to voteā¦
If we do our part, I think this will be one of the best midterm elections of our lifetime.ā ā@RonDeSantisFL šÆhttps://t.co/3kH5oJErO9 pic.twitter.com/OgudIHGYMz

DeSantis stated that he had never seen anything like it.
āThe thing that strikes me about this is all those problems you said, are created and manufactured by Biden himself with his bad policy,ā he said. āYou know, thereās sometimes, thereās sometimes things happen with the economy. Sometimes energy prices go up because of global supply. Heās waging war on our own ability to produce. Heās begging [Venezuelan dictator Nikolas] Maduro, for energy. Heās going to the Saudis and begging. You know, the Saudis, they cut production and people said, āOh, theyāre doing politics against Biden.ā Yeah, I think they probably are. But he put himself in this position by making our country vulnerable to this.ā The Florida governor continued.
Zeldin has continued to gain ground against Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul in recents weeks, leading many to think he may have a real chance to win the race.
