Tucker Carlson Sparks 2028 Speculation With Video Criticizing Washington, Calling for National Renewal

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson is reportedly fueling renewed speculation about a possible White House bid after releasing a lengthy video outlining what he believes has gone wrong in the United States and offering his vision for rebuilding the country.

The nearly 100-minute presentation features Carlson sharply criticizing the nation's political establishment, arguing that the two-party system has failed the American people and accusing leaders in both major parties of misleading voters while neglecting their interests.

Carlson, who now runs his own media company and regularly interviews conservative voices and other controversial figures on his podcast, used the video to present a broad critique of the current political landscape. Throughout the discussion, he argued that the federal government and political leaders have repeatedly failed ordinary Americans.

Among his criticisms, Carlson claimed that elected officials have prioritized the rights of immigrants living in the United States illegally over those of Americans born in the country. "Somebody needs to begin work immediately on one question which is what unites all of us," Carlson said near the end of the presentation. "It's probably not going to be that hard. Because most of the divisions we think are irreparable are artificial."
Carlson went on to argue that many of the conflicts Americans see as permanent were created by those in power rather than arising naturally among the public.
"The things that divide Americans," he said, "were foisted on us by our leaders."

He expanded that argument by accusing Democrats and Republicans alike of working together in ways that have harmed the American people while benefiting themselves.
"Both parties have colluded against the population to make their lives better and our lives worse," Carlson said. "So if you're going to fix it and rebuild this country … you're going to need to do something about the pressing question of American identity. It's fixable. You just have to try, and we will be trying."

The video has prompted fresh discussion about whether Carlson could eventually seek elected office, particularly the presidency. While speculation surrounding a potential White House campaign has surfaced before, Carlson has consistently dismissed suggestions that he would run during previous election cycles.
