Report: Sean “Diddy” Combs Placed in Solitary Confinement After Alleged Prison Fight

Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly been placed in solitary confinement following an alleged altercation with another inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, according to TMZ, which cited multiple unnamed sources familiar with the incident.
The outlet reported that the confrontation occurred after another inmate allegedly “dissed” Combs, prompting the disgraced music mogul to confront the individual.
According to TMZ’s sources, Combs allegedly decided to “take matters into his own hands,” leading to a physical confrontation between the two inmates.
The sources said the encounter escalated into a scuffle in which the men pushed one another and exchanged punches.
TMZ reported that Combs “held his own” during the altercation before prison staff intervened.
Correctional officers reportedly moved quickly to break up the fight and separate the inmates before the situation escalated further.
Following the incident, Combs was reportedly “immediately tossed into the hole” at Fort Dix, the prison term commonly used to describe placement in solitary confinement or segregated housing.
It remains unclear whether Combs is still being held in solitary confinement or what disciplinary action, if any, he could ultimately face. According to TMZ, participating in a prison fight could potentially result in additional consequences, including the possibility of an extended prison sentence.
Officials at FCI Fort Dix declined to comment on the reported altercation.
A spokesperson for the prison told TMZ that the facility does not disclose internal information regarding inmates in its custody, stating that such information is not available to the public.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons also declined to discuss the matter, citing its policy of not releasing information related to disciplinary issues or other inmate-specific matters because of privacy, safety and security concerns.
Representatives for Combs also did not respond to requests for comment, according to the report.
The reported prison incident comes a little more than a year after a federal jury in New York convicted Combs on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
Jurors acquitted Combs on the more serious charges, including one count of racketeering conspiracy and two counts of sex trafficking.
During the trial, federal prosecutors argued that Combs led a decades-long criminal enterprise that abused, threatened and coerced victims.
Among those referenced during the proceedings were former girlfriend Cassie Ventura, who appeared in a widely circulated 2016 hotel surveillance video showing Combs assaulting her, and another former girlfriend who testified under the pseudonym “Jane.”
In October, Judge Arun Subramanian of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York sentenced Combs to four years and two months in federal prison. The sentence also included five years of post-release supervision and a $500,000 fine.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons initially listed Combs’ projected release date as May 8, 2028.
That date was later moved to Feb. 23, 2028, reportedly because he participated in a drug rehabilitation program that can provide reductions in time served for good behavior.
Combs has appealed his conviction and has reportedly reached out to President Donald Trump in an effort to obtain a presidential pardon.
As of now, federal prison officials have not publicly confirmed the reported fight or Combs’ placement in solitary confinement.
