Stephen Miller Clashes With Fox News’ Jacqui Heinrich

A major clash reportedly took place on Friday between Jacqui Heinrich of Fox News and Stephen Miller, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy at the White House, about the memo issued by the Trump administration that ordered a block on federal expenditure on grants and loans.

It was stated by the White House that the freeze, which was begun by the Office of Management and Budget of President Donald Trump, was intended to provide the administration with the opportunity to evaluate whether or not the expenditure was in accordance with Trump’s priorities.

The freeze was denied by a federal judge on Wednesday, and shortly after that, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) revoked the letter.

As a guest presenter on Friday’s episode of The Story, Heinrich, who is a correspondent for Fox News covering the White House, posed a question to Miller, asking him to provide further clarification.

“Can you clear up whether the phrase is in effect? Because I obviously saw the press secretary say, ‘Memo rescinded, but the orders are still in place, the freeze is still in effect.’ That’s evidently not how [the Department of Justice] is seeing it. They believe that the breaks have been pumped on this whole thing because of the administrative stay in D.C., and now, potentially a temporary restraining order coming out of Rhode Island and the other case with 22 state attorneys general. So, is money for the programs impacted by the president’s [executive orders] currently going out the door while the court case plays out?” Heinrich asked.

“The president issued executive orders pausing funding for diversity, equity, and inclusion, critical race theory, radical transgender ideology, sex changes–” Miller said.

” I understand that– because the judge said that it had to be stopped.” Heinrich responded.

A contentious back and forth then ensued between the two with Miller concluding the following:

“The president paused funding for diversity, equity, and inclusion, radical gender ideology, critical race theory, sex changes for minors, foreign aid, as well as certain Green New Deal projects. Also, the resettlement of illegal aliens and the funding to NGOs that were settling illegal aliens. Those are all discretionary agency spending projects that are not required by law, that are not required by Congress.” Miller concluded
