Democratic strategist James Carville reportedly advised former President Joe Biden to gracefully withdraw from American politics, criticizing his recent assertion that he might have defeated President Donald Trump had he remained in the election.
During Wednesday’s Politics War Room podcast, Carville and co-host Al Hunt contemplated the “tragic” political legacy of Biden, with Carville asserting that the party no longer requires Biden.
“What he’s done to himself is no one wants to hear from this guy anymore. Okay, just go to your condo in Rehoboth and stay there. And that’s not because we’re bad people or we’re mean people. It was all his doing. All his doing.” Carville said.
Carville was an early detractor of Biden’s reelection campaign and has provided harsh critiques of Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign as well.
Carville criticized Biden for asserting that he could have triumphed over Trump in the election, stating. He also addressed the discord between Jill Biden and the Pelosis.
“Then fighting with Jill Biden and Alexandra Pelosi. I mean, just look, guy — you had a noble career. Your last act was terrible. Just get out of the way. The party’s moving on. I mean, they’re really moving on, and it’s very sad, but that’s just where we are. And he created this himself. He has nobody to blame but himself.” he added.
