During a new segment on Fox News, Jesse Watters reportedly blasted Democrats in California for their abysmal response to the wildfires that occurred this week in Los Angeles.
Watters also suggested that “martial law” might have to be implemented in order to avoid the city of Los Angeles from embarrassing the United States of America during the 2028 Olympics.
The county of Los Angeles was hit by flames for four consecutive days this week, which were made worse by the fact that firemen did not have access to sufficient water supplies.
11 individuals have been confirmed deceased as of Friday evening, and over 10,000 houses have been damaged or destroyed as a result of the recent disaster.
The failure of city and state leaders to effectively prepare for the scenario was a source of criticism during the whole week from observers across the political spectrum.
In the afternoon on Friday, Governor Gavin Newsom of California requested that an investigation be conducted.
On Watters’s show, the host made the argument that the officials of California had mishandled their state to such an extent that the federal government was required to bring order back into the state.
“California has been trying for years to destroy Western civilization. Well, this is what it looks like.” Watters said.
“Primetime is calling for a federal takeover of California. When a state becomes this dangerous and the government becomes this reckless, where the lives of millions of American citizens are being destroyed, their homes obliterated, their infrastructure annihilated. We can’t wait for a recall election. This is an issue of national security. This is a public health emergency.” he continued.
“We know they had public health emergency powers. Remember, the pandemic? Invoke them. The elected officials in California can’t be trusted. They’re criminally negligent.” he added
“Look at what we’re seeing. This is a war scene. And if anyone thinks that people who are responsible for this catastrophe are going to somehow rebuild, you’re out of your mind. If they’re left in charge to rebuild L.A., they’re going to steal the money. Nothing’s going to get rebuilt.” Watters concluded.
