Using recent executive orders on climate change and other official acts that President Biden has taken in his final weeks as president, President-elect Trump made the accusation on Monday that President Biden is purposefully aggravating the transition from one presidency to the next.
“Biden is doing everything possible to make the TRANSITION as difficult as as possible, from Lawfare such as has never been seen before, to costly and ridiculous Executive Orders on the Green New Scam and other money wasting Hoaxes. Fear not, these “Orders” will all be terminated shortly, and we will become a Nation of Common Sense and Strength. MAGA!!!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social account.
Earlier on Monday, Vice President Biden made the announcement that he would prohibit new drilling off the entire East Coast, as well as in the states of California, Oregon, and Washington.
Additionally, he would prohibit some drilling off the coast of Alaska in some areas of the Northern Bering Sea and in the eastern Gulf of Mexico.
Biden announced the decision barely two weeks before Trump, who has pledged to increase the amount of energy that is produced domestically, is ushered in as president.
Although it is uncertain whether Trump would be able to reverse the decision to prohibit oil drilling, he has pledged to erase the recent executive orders issued by Vice President Joe Biden.
This is due to the fact that he was unsuccessful in 2019 when he attempted to restart drilling in places that had been sealed off by former President Barack Obama.
It remains unclear whether or not Biden will continue to obstruct the transition in the weeks ahead by making even more provocative moves.
