Voting Machine Switches Trump Ballot To Harris

Video footage revealing a Kentucky voter trying to cast her ballot for President Donald Trump, but having her choice switch over to Vice President Kamala Harris, went viral and raised concerns over possible vote tampering.

Laurel County Clerk, Republican Tony Brown, initially thought the issue at the county courthouse annex couldn’t be reproduced. However, he later confirmed the error was real and could be replicated.

“The Attorney General’s office has been to the vote center to check the device that has been shown across social media today,” Brown said. “In full disclosure, after several minutes of attempting to recreate the scenario, it did occur.”

The problem occurred when touching an area “between the boxes,” Brown explained. Officials saw it happen again once but couldn’t replicate it further.

He noted that the voting machine displays all choices before printing, allowing voters to request a new ballot if any errors occur.

A video posted by Brown showed the machine working “with no issues” after being temporarily removed from service until the Attorney General’s office examined it.

The Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman assured voters, stating, “The Department of Criminal Investigations quickly responded to the complaint. Detectives have been in touch with the county clerk and recommended they change out the voting machine.”

He also said that Kentucky voters could be confident that the election was secure and issues will be rapidly handled.

Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams noted that “There is no ‘vote-switching.'”

Michon Lindstrom, Adams’ spokesperson, confirmed no official complaints of “vote switching” had been received.

Brown mentioned the voter reportedly affected was able to cast a correct ballot. “We strive to have accurate, secure and safe elections that we are proud to provide to our citizens,” he asserted.
