Two exclusive new USA TODAY/Suffolk University polls now appear to indicate that Vice President Kamala Harris is losing support among young Latino men, despite the fact that she continues to maintain a lead over Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump among Latino voters in Arizona and Nevada.
These states are critical to the 2024 election and will impact the outcome.
According to a statewide poll of 500 likely Hispanic voters in Arizona, 57% of Latino voters intend to vote for or incline toward Harris, while 38% indicated that they lean toward Trump.
The statewide poll of 500 probable Hispanic voters also revealed that Harris leads Trump among Latino voters in Nevada, 56% to 40%.
The margin of error for each state is 4.4 percentage points, and the surveys were conducted in English and Spanish between Sept. 27 and Oct. 2.
Latinos comprise one-quarter of the electorate in Arizona and one-fifth in Nevada.
The two candidates continue to have a gender disparity in their supporters.
Trump receives a greater amount of support from young Latino men under the age of 50, while Harris receives a greater amount of support from women.
51% of Latino men aged 18-34 in Arizona expressed their support for Trump, while 39% of Latino men aged 18-34 support Harris.
In Arizona, 57% of Latino men aged 35-49 expressed their support for Trump, while 37% of them expressed their support for Harris.
