On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin officially endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential campaign against former President Donald Trump.
During the Eastern Economic Forum in eastern Russia, Putin was questioned regarding his perspective on the forthcoming U.S. election, according to numerous reports.
The Russian president, who appeared to be beaming in the presence of the event’s moderator, stated that the American people were ultimately responsible for making the decision.
However, he also stated that as President Biden has supported Harris, “we will do the same, we will support her.”
Before Biden withdrew from the campaign earlier this year, Putin expressed his preference for Biden over Trump, asserting that Biden was a more predictable candidate.
Russian President Vladimir Putin declared on Thursday that he was amenable to participating in peace negotiations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Putin also proposed that Brazil, India, or China could serve as mediators in the negotiations.
Ukraine is unlikely to consent to this arrangement, as China has supported Russia in its conflict.
