Political analyst S.E. Cupp of CNN expressed her dissatisfaction with President Joe Biden’s news conference on Thursday and reaffirmed her belief that he shouldn’t be the Democratic nominee for president.
Biden conducted a fifty-nine-minute press conference. He made the blunder of referring to Vice President Kamala Harris as “Vice President Trump” near the opening, which previous President Donald Trump made fun of.
Following a NATO summit in Washington, D.C., where Biden had called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “President Putin” just hours before, there was a news conference. When a reporter questioned Biden about the error, he laughed it off.
During the news conference, the president stammered a few times, but it wasn’t quite as awful as his performance during the presidential debate with Trump last month.
Democrats on Capitol Hill were taken aback by Biden’s performance in that fight, and several of them have openly urged him to withdraw their reelection attempt.
“Yet another hard-to-watch Biden event. I’m not sad and I’m not laughing at it. I’m actually pretty mad. I’m mad at Joe Biden and Democrats because I gave them my first Democratic vote in 2020 with the express understanding and promise that he would be a one-term president put there to get Trump out. He did it. That’s why I voted for him. He said he’d be a bridge.” Cupp said.
Cupp went on to conclude that Biden staying in the race was “infuriating, irresponsible, and it’s political malpractice.”
