“I understand it pretty well, because I’ve had it with people who have it in their family. It’s a very tough thing.” Trump said during a new Fox News interview.
Fred, Trump’s sibling, succumbed to alcoholism and passed away in 1981.
On Tuesday, Hunter Biden was found guilty of three felony counts of illegally purchasing and possessing a firearm.
Prosecutors asserted that he made false statements on the paperwork when he acquired a handgun in 2018.
The trial, which lasted for a week, was primarily concerned with his cocaine addiction and included testimony from his family, acquaintances, and ex-partners.
Hunter Biden is subject to a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison and $750,000 in fines; however, the utmost penalty is rarely imposed on first-time offenders.
The president recently declared that he would not commute his son’s sentence or pardon him if he were convicted.
Hunter Biden is accused of failing to pay $1.4 million in taxes and filing false returns in California. These offenses are set to be tried in September.
