Since assuming office in 2021, Vice President Kamala Harris has now acknowledged that she has developed yet another undesirable and tacky habit: she has been profanity more frequently than she has ever done.
In an extensive interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Harris was asked to identify a change in her behavior since her appointment as President Joe Biden’s second-in-command.
She acknowledged that she recently uttered an F-word during a live-streamed White House event.
“I had to! I had to!” Harris said to the reporter, after telling the group gathered at the White House that sometimes “you need to kick that f***ing door down.”
“What have I done differently since I’ve been in this office? I curse more!. Although, kind of. I don’t know. It’s not a new language to me, and I think when one speaks the language, one should get the pronunciation down. My pronunciation is very good, thank you very much!” she continued.
During the annual Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies Legislative Leadership Summit, Harris expressed the necessity for minorities to advocate for themselves during a conversation with comedian Jimmy O. Yang.
The event, which is a component of the White House’s commemoration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, commenced with Yang’s inquiry regarding Harris’ experience as the first woman to be elected to the vice presidency.
