According to Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA), certain Democrats are voicing excessive criticism towards President Joe Biden as the 2024 general election approaches.
The senator participated in a discussion with MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski about the upcoming election and Biden’s position in the crucial swing state of Pennsylvania.
Anticipating a challenging 2024 election for the president, Fetterman expressed bewilderment at the behavior of certain fellow Democrats.
“All kinds of Democrats [are] criticizing the president too publicly. I don’t understand why. I don’t know what it’s in it for you to do that, whether you’re just chasing clout or you want to make it in the news or anything like that. But, if you’re not willing to just support the president now and say these kinds of things, you might as well just get your MAGA hat, because you now are helping Trump at this.” Fetterman said.

There are concerns among Democratic strategists and lawmakers regarding the 81-year-old Biden’s re-election campaign, particularly highlighted by Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN), who entered the presidential race to challenge Biden in October.
Biden has received backlash from progressive lawmakers Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar for his handling of the conflict between Israel and Hamas. Tlaib went as far as urging voters in her district to not support Biden in the primary.
“I believe there’s only one person that can beat Trump, and that’s Joe Biden. Because right now he’s the only person in America that actually has beaten Trump.” Fetterman concluded
