Former Vice President Mike Pence has reportedly stated his support for an impeachment investigation into President Joe Biden, should House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) initiate one when the House returns from recess the following week.
Pence lauded House Republican efforts to investigate Biden and his son Hunter Biden’s foreign business transactions during Joe Biden’s tenure as vice president.
I think, particularly at a time when so many Americans have lost confidence in equal treatment under the law, so many Americans, understandably, are concerned about a dual standard of justice in this country. Now, more than ever, we need House Republicans to follow the facts, bring the facts to the American people, and if an impeachment inquiry facilitates that I would hardly support it.” Pence said.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) is leading the investigation into the Biden family’s business transactions, which includes determining whether Joe Biden benefited from Hunter Biden’s position on the board of the Ukrainian firm Burisma while serving as vice president.
McCarthy has hinted at an impeachment investigation, whereas other conservatives in the lower chamber want to vote on the president’s impeachment without an investigation.
Pence asserted that the potential impeachment proceedings against the president differ from when former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) initiated impeachment proceedings against former President Donald Trump in 2019 and 2021.
In each instance, he was impeached but vindicated by the Senate.
In 2019, the first impeachment proceeding was initiated as a result of a phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding the Biden family’s business dealings in Ukraine.
The House impeached him on two counts, abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

I don’t usually agree with Pence but on Biden impeachment I do but it must include Kamala or nothing is gained. It has to be both. I am not against a woman president but I am very much against that woman being Kamala.
