The Biden administration reportedly halted a major program established by the Trump administration to uncover Chinese dangers to national security last February.
According to Matt Olsen, the Biden administration’s associate attorney general in charge of the national security division, Asians have complained that the program is discriminatory against them.
“We helped give rise to a harmful perception that the department applies a lower standard to investigate and prosecute criminal conduct related to that country or that we in some way view people with racial, ethnic, or family ties to China differently.” Olsen said in reference to the program.
Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions launched the China Initiative in 2018.
“…under President Donald Trump, the United States is standing up to the deliberate, systematic, and calculated threats posed, in particular, by the communist regime in China, which is notorious around the world for intellectual property theft.” Sessions noted in a statement.
“Earlier this year, a report from U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer found that Chinese sponsorship of hacking into American businesses and commercial networks has been taking place for more than a decade and is a serious problem that burdens American commerce.” Sessions added.
“The problem has been growing rapidly, and along with China’s other unfair trade practices, it poses a real and illegal threat to our nation’s economic prosperity and competitiveness.” he continued.
The news comes in the wake of the controversy surrounding a Chinese spy Balloon which was shot down on the order of the Biden administration after crossing the length of the continental United States.

It only makes sense that Biden would revoke the rule. After all, he doesn’t want to pi$$ off the Chinese and ruin his golden goose.
