Marjorie Taylor Greene Blasts Fox News, Praises CNN Amid Feud With Trump

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the firebrand Republican from Georgia known for her outspoken loyalty to the MAGA movement, is now directing unexpected praise toward CNN while taking aim at Fox News over how each network has handled her ongoing feud with President Donald Trump. The shift comes as Greene continues to navigate the political fallout from her surprise announcement that she plans to resign from Congress in January 2026.

Greene’s resignation stunned much of the political world. It followed a high-profile clash with President Trump over what he and his supporters saw as her abandonment of core MAGA positions. In recent months, Greene had broken with the Republican Party by siding with Democrats in calling for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files. She also blasted the Trump administration over its support of Israel, accusing the country of committing ā€œgenocideā€ in Gaza—a statement that drew swift backlash from conservatives who had long counted her as one of their most unflinching defenders.

Since the falling-out, Greene has appeared on several left-leaning programs, including CNN and ABC’s The View. During an interview with CNN hosts Pamela Brown and Wolf Blitzer, Greene was asked to address critics who claimed she should ā€œstay in the fightā€ rather than resign—and who suggested her resignation was timed to secure a congressional pension. Greene dismissed the accusations as ā€œunfair,ā€ then turned to criticize Fox News.

ā€œI get criticized for coming on CNN, and you just had a Republican before me on CNN,ā€ Greene said. ā€œAnd it’s unfair criticism because Fox News doesn’t ever invite me on. They invited me one time recently after I resigned. We’ve responded back to the producer and they still haven’t said when I can come on. So, I thank you. I enjoy coming on and I appreciate the questions.ā€

The congresswoman’s comments highlight a growing rift between Greene and the conservative network that once provided a key platform for Republican voices. Greene has repeatedly expressed frustration with Fox News, saying she feels the network has sidelined her despite her popularity with the GOP base. Her recent appearances on CNN mark a striking realignment for a figure who built her political brand by attacking mainstream media outlets.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Greene went even further, revealing she watches nearly every other major news channel more than she watches Fox. The remark underscores how dramatically Greene’s media loyalties have shifted as her feud with Trump and her critiques of GOP leadership have pushed her further from the party establishment.

Greene’s praise of CNN—and her criticism of Fox—reflects a broader repositioning as she prepares to exit Congress and attempts to redefine her public role. Once known as one of Trump’s most aggressive defenders, she now finds herself in the unusual position of using left-leaning platforms to air grievances against the network that traditionally champions Republican voices.

What Greene does next remains unclear. But for now, the Georgia Republican appears determined to challenge old alliances and embrace new ones, even if it means applauding CNN while calling out Fox News for shutting her out.
