Bill O’Reilly Claims Elon Musk has no ‘Power’ to Stage a Coup

The former anchor of Fox News, Bill O’Reilly, has now reportedly stated that he does not have any concerns regarding an insurrection that may be led by Elon Musk.

He is of the opinion that Musk does not “have any power” in the administration whatsoever.

“I’m not worried that he’s going to do a coup d’état. I’m not worried because he doesn’t have any power. He can’t subpoena anybody. He’s just is an adviser.” he told NewsNation.

DOGE, which stands for the Department of Government Efficiency, has been operational ever since President Trump took office and issued an executive order that established the institution a little more than two weeks ago.

Immediately following Musk’s pledge to reduce spending by the federal government by $2 trillion, the tech entrepreneur has been subjected to criticism from Democrats who question his authority to take action.

As a result of its investigations, particularly those into the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), it has garnered the ire of protesters as well as legislators, who are concerned that he possesses an excessive amount of power and influence for an official who is not elected.

From the very beginning, DOGE has been the subject of debate.

The same treatment has been given to it, despite the fact that it is neither an agency nor a post at the Cabinet level.

As a result of the fact that it is not an agency, Musk has not been needed to go through the procedures of a Senate confirmation hearing, which is generally necessary for someone who holds that level of authority.

Musk is immune from certain requirements concerning financial disclosure and transparency since the White House has designated him as a special government employee with a restricted contract.

This classification allows him to avoid certain regulations.
