According to a new statement released by a spokesperson for the White House on Friday, the Trump administration has now begun utilizing military planes to transport individuals who entered the United States illegally out of the country.
Karoline Leavitt, the press secretary for the White House, posted photographs on the social media platform X that showed people being restrained in handcuffs as they boarded a military aircraft.
Although the use of military planes for deportation is a result of an executive order that was signed by President Trump this week, deportation flights have been around for quite some time.

Immigration advocates made fun of the series of social media postings that were made by the White House. They called attention to the fact that deportation flights had been going on for some time now.
The administration officials have been trying to aggressively publicize any action taken on that front in the first few days of Trump’s presidency.
Trump made the problem of immigration enforcement his top priority throughout the campaign for the Presidential election in 2024.
On his first day in office, the President of the United States enacted a number of executive orders in order to restrict the number of migrants entering the United States.
Trump put a halt to the process of accepting refugees, declared a state of emergency at the southern border, and reinforced the presence of the United States military at the border.
According to Trump’s Department of Homeland Security, agents have been given permission to carry out arrests at schools, churches, and businesses.
This is a reversal of a rule that was implemented by the Biden administration, which said that arrests should not be made in areas that were considered to be “sensitive.”
As of Thursday night, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reported that it had made 538 arrests and had lodged 373 detainers.
