REPORT: US Experiences Major New Population Boom Due to Migration

According to the United States Census Bureau, the pace of population growth in the United States surged to its highest level in over twenty years throughout the course of the most recent year.

This year, the population of the United States expanded by about one percent, which is equivalent to 3.3 million individuals, bringing the total into excess of 340 million.

By a significant margin, the South boasted the highest rate of population growth among all the areas, with an increase of 1.8 million individuals.

Another factor that contributed to the rise in population was the fact that between the years 2023 and 2024, the number of births exceeded the number of deaths by roughly 519,000.

To a certain extent, the increase in immigration statistics this year might be attributed to a new system of counting that includes those who were granted entry into the United States for humanitarian reasons.

In the most recent year, the population of residents who are of voting age (those who are 18 years old or older) increased to about 267 million, whilst the population of those who are 17 years old or younger actually decreased by 0.2 million to 73.1 million in 2024.

There were just three states that had a population decline in the past year: Vermont, Mississippi, and West Virginia.

As a result of the loss of 516 residents, West Virginia saw the most population decline of any state.

Trump has consistently expressed his desire to carry out a major deportation program with in the United States once he finally takes office.

The president-elect has been appointing immigration hardliners such as Tom Homan in an effort to get the job done.
