Mike Johnson Reveals Trump’s ‘Little Secret’ As Dems Speculate With Wild Theories

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA.) clarified on Monday that the “little secret” former President Trump hinted at during his Madison Square Garden rally is simply a voter mobilization effort, not an underhanded scheme to challenge Electoral College outcomes should Trump lose the presidency.

“It’s nothing scandalous, but we’re having a ball with this. The media, their heads are exploding. ‘What is the secret?’” Johnson joked to about 90 attendees at a rally for GOP candidate Ryan Mackenzie.

“It’s one of our tactics on get-out-the-vote,” Johnson assured. “But they are convinced.”

Despite the statement, he humorously mimicked an evil mastermind, rubbing his hands together as if concocting a sinister plan.

At his rally on Sunday, Trump teased a “little secret” with Johnson that would greatly aid in retaining control of the House.

“We can take the Senate pretty easily, and I think with our little secret, we’re going to take the House, right?” Trump told the audience. “Our little secret is having a big impact. He and I have a secret. We’ll tell you what it is when the race is over.”

This sparked speculation that Trump and Johnson might be planning to contest the 2024 election results if Trump is defeated by Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I suspect Trump’s little secret plan with Mike Johnson is that when he loses, he tries to go to the House to throw out the Electoral College and have the House under Mike Johnson overturn this election,” Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.) speculated on CNN.

Johnson reiterated to the Pennsylvania crowd that this voter turnout strategy is far from diabolical.

“It’s actually very good. It’s going to help us with the turnout. All this is blowing their minds,” he remarked. “They just can’t — They cannot fathom that Trump and Vance have the support that they do around the country like they do from — from new demographics of people.”

Johnson also highlighted that Republicans anticipate unprecedented backing from Hispanic, Latino, black, and Jewish voters.
