On Tuesday, a federal judge reportedly issued an order directing the former New York mayor and attorney for Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, to surrender all of his valuable possessions and his Manhattan penthouse apartment to Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, the Georgia election workers whom he defamed and to whom he now owes $150 million.
Giuliani was ordered by Judge Lewis Liman of the federal court in Manhattan to transfer his interest in the property to the women within seven days, transferring it to a receivership that they will manage.
The judge’s turnover order for the luxury items is straightforward and expeditious; however, the penthouse apartment will be transferred to Freeman and Moss in order to facilitate its sale, potentially for millions of dollars.
Additionally, the women who tallied Georgia ballots subsequent to the 2020 election will be entitled to approximately $2 million in legal fees. The judge ruled that Giuliani has maintained that the Trump campaign still owes him money.
Besides the Trump campaign fees and the New York apartment, Giuliani is required to surrender a collection of numerous watches, including those that were presented to him by European presidents following the September 11, 2001, attacks; a signed Joe DiMaggio jersey and other sports memorabilia; and a 1980 Mercedes that was previously owned by the Hollywood actress Lauren Bacall.
In addition, the magistrate mandated that Giuliani surrender his jewelry, furniture, and television.
Liman has not yet determined whether Giuliani will be permitted to retain the four New York Yankees World Series rings and the Palm Beach, Florida, condominium he also possesses, which his son claims were given to him by his father.
