During an interview with Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo on Friday, Rep. James Comer (R-KY) launched an attack on the family of Democratic Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
After Bartiromo shared a clip of a recent speech from Minnesota First Lady Gwen Walz, who declared that it was time to “turn the page” on former President Donald Trump, the House Oversight Committee chair characterized the entire Walz family as “indoctrinated” and “scary.”
Comer informed Bartiromo that the Democratic vice presidential nominee’s connections to China were concerning to him. Bartiromo responded by playing a video of Gwen Walz addressing an audience at a recent campaign rally.
Last weekend in Wisconsin, Bartiromo broadcast a footage of Mrs. Walz’s speech.
The clip depicts Gwen Walz making a dramatic speech with her hands to convey her radical confidence that voters would elect her husband and Harris to the White House in November, thereby effectively terminating Trump’s political career.
The video went viral on social media, prompting numerous conservatives to make provocative statements regarding Gwen Walz’s apparently radical conduct.
Comer, in his rejoinder, targeted the governor’s entire family, whom he accused of having sympathies for the government of communist China.
“Yeah, that’s a scary family there. I mean, it looks like the type of family that’s been indoctrinated and they believe there’s a better way to do business, and some of the things that the Walzs have said about China, their affection for China, that’s very concerning to me because we don’t want to set our business model like China’s.” Comer said.
