The campaign of former President Donald Trump accused Vice President Kamala Harris of making false promises both before and after she unveiled an economic agenda in North Carolina on Friday.
They even went so far as to call her speech proposals “bullshit” and refer to her as “Comrade Kamala.”
Harris addressed supporters in Raleigh during remarks in which she attributed the high cost of food to “price gouging” and pledged to curb corporate avarice.
Harris also pledged to increase the child tax credit to $6,000 for the first year of a child’s life and to provide tax relief to 100 million Americans.
The Trump campaign dedicated a significant portion of Friday morning to preemptively attacking the vice president as a “communist.”
Kamala Harris admits the American Dream is "out of reach for far too many Americans" since she and Biden took office — so she's asking for four more years.

#ComradeKamala says her plan is going to be to bring down prices—then WHY DIDN’T YOU DO IT? WHY AREN’T YOU DOING IT NOW?

They’re not wrong.#ComradeKamala Economic Plan:
— Soviet Price Controls
— Abolish private healthcare
— Raise taxes as high as 80%
— Ban fracking and gas-powered cars
— 25K checks for illegals to buy houses https://t.co/Ov0UBgS5BA— Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) August 16, 2024
I will work to pass the first-ever federal ban on price gouging on food. My plan will include new penalties for opportunistic companies that exploit crises and break the rules, and we will support smaller food businesses that are trying to play by the rules and get ahead.” Harris said during a recent rally.
Harris also pledged to reduce the federal deficit and accused Trump of advocating for corporations and the wealthiest Americans.
