In order to participate in the Zeta Phi Beta sorority’s Grand Boule in Indiana, Vice President Kamala Harris withdrew from her scheduled appearance at the Congressional address of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to her advisers.
The event that Harris skipped Netanyahu’s speech to attend was entitled: “Finer Women Amplifying The Extraordinary Power of S.H.E. through Legacy, Leadership & Impact,”
Critics emphasized the awkward optics of Harris’ absence from Netanyahu’s address, which was previously scheduled.
This was particularly true given that President Joe Biden was also absent, and because Harris has since become the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee after Biden officially dropped out of the 2024 presidential race on Sunday.
Although Harris was unable to attend Netanyahu’s address due to an engagement, a number of her party members deliberately abstained from it.
Hamas is still holding over 100 hostages and Kamala Harris is skipping Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to go to a sorority event.
She needs to get serious.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and others declined to attend the speech. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), an anti-Israel representative, did attend solely to display a sign in the chamber that claimed Netanyahu was a “war criminal.”
