Trump Claims He Will Sign New Executive Order to Cut Funding for Schools Pushing CRT and Transgenderism on Kids

On Tuesday, former President Donald Trump pledged that if he were to win a second term in office, he would act quickly to punish educational institutions that teach Critical Race Theory (CRT) and promote “transgender insanity.”

Less than a month before he is expected to be nominated at the Republican National Convention in neighboring Milwaukee, Trump addressed a group of supporters in Racine, Wisconsin.

Trump attacked “inappropriate” material being taught to kids during his speech in Racine, Wisconsin, and vowed to cut funds to institutions that support radical leftist race and gender ideas.

Trump reiterated remarks he made early in his 2024 presidential campaign when he threatened to withhold government funding from educational institutions that supported CRT and “inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content.”

“On day one, I will sign a new executive order to cut federal funding of any school pushing Critical Race Theory, transgender insanity, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political onto the lives of our children,” the former president said in front of a roaring crowd.

“And I will not give one penny to a school that has a vaccine mandate or a mask mandate. And I will keep … some of these things [are] embarrassing to say … I will keep men out of women’s sports. Why would you have to say that? You go back 10-15 years, and somebody would say, ‘What’s that all about?’” he continued.

In March 2023, during a speech to an audience in Iowa, Trump declared that he would oppose the imposition of CRT and LGBT policies on children.

He also promised to “break up” the Department of Education and advance universal school choice.

Trump also criticized President Joe Biden’s Title IX amendments last month, which include students’ gender identity and sexual orientation as protected categories against discrimination.
